Overview

github.com/hashicorp/consul/agent is a distributed, highly available, and data center aware solution to connect and configure applications across dynamic, distributed infrastructure.

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Authorization due to the incorrect handling of JWT authentication for service mesh, which improperly allows or denies access regardless of the actual service identities. An attacker can exploit this flaw to bypass intended access restrictions by crafting JWTs that are mismatched with service identities.
